Michael L. Hoffman
Michael L. Hoffman is the Principal and Founder of Longhorn III Investments, LLC. Prior to starting Longhorn Mike was in private practice managing a firm of seven attorneys whose practices ranged from real estate, personal injury litigation, corporate structure, estate planning and tax law. Currently his law firm, Michael L. Hoffman, P.C. specializes in real estate and personal injury. The firm is a fee office of Excel Title handling both residential and commercial closings. Mike has been a licensed attorney since 1994. Mike is also the manager of Trident Realty Investments, LLC a private equity fund with over 120 investors and over $40 million in capital.
Mike lives in North Dallas with his wife Shannon, son Jacob and daughter Daly. He attended the University of Texas at Austin graduating with a B.A. in Government then graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
Chief Operating Officer
Jeremiah L. Garza
Jeremiah has been a member of our team since October of 2010. He took on the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2014 to focus on implementing operational processes and procedures designed to create a seamless real estate transaction for our borrowers. He works with our staff, borrowers, and investors to ensure the highest level of professionalism in our products and services.
Prior to joining the organization Jeremiah was as a founding member and President of TriCentury Title, LLC a Fort Worth based privately held title agency. In that role he was responsible for the oversight of all agency operations from sales and marketing to title and escrow operations. Before founding TriCentury Title, LLC he was Vice President of Operations for Solutions Title of America Corp a captive audience whole owned subsidiary of Aegis Mortgage Corporation. The agency operated in over 40 states and closed approximately 2000 residential transaction per month. He started in the real estate industry with Electronic Closing Services, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Mortgage Information (SMI) a member of the Stewart Family of Companies who operated in over 40 states by providing real estate information services to lenders, title agents, and real estate professionals. In his last role with SMI he served as Associate Vice President of Quality Assurance. Jeremiah was responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance programs designed to exceed all applicable regulatory and customer SLA requirements. Over the years he has served on several committees with the Texas Land Title Association with a focus on education for the Texas land title industry.
Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Jon D. Shipley
Jon has over 15 years of experience in many facets of real estate and lending. Prior to Longhorn, Jon worked with a national private lender developing strategic relationships with third party real estate and lending affiliates. Previously, Jon worked with a real estate auction company developing the residential buyer and seller platform for high volume and institutional partners. Jon also gained valuable experience leading business development and acquisition efforts for a mid-sized real estate hedge fund located in Austin, Texas. He initially started his lending career in the residential wholesale lending space where he successfully developed sales teams in three different markets, resulting in record breaking production. Jon is currently a member of PREIMA (Professional Real Estate Investors and Managers), AAPL (American Association of Private Lenders), and NAMB (National Association of Mortgage Professionals).
Jon received his BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. Jon lives in Dallas with his wife Leslie and two sons, August and Declan.
Vice President of Business Development
Eric D. Feldman
Eric Feldman is a Texas licensed Attorney and Vice President of Business Development for Longhorn III Investments. Eric worked as a lead Attorney and Director of Acquisitions on a joint venture that purchased, rehabbed, leased and recently sold a portfolio of over 900 single family houses throughout Texas. Prior to joining Longhorn III Investments, Eric had an extensive background in the financial services industry employed with Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo Advisors, where he was a member of a team that managed over $200 million in assets. In those roles, he implemented investment strategies and money management programs to help his clients meet their financial goals
Eric lives in North Dallas with his wife Erica and their son Levi. Prior to graduating from South Texas College of Law, he attended the University of Texas at Austin graduating with a degree in Public Relations. Outside of the office, Eric is a die-hard Dallas sports fan and actively volunteers with Big Brother of America.
Chris Collins joined the Longhorn team as Controller in June 2013, after having spent the previous 11 years with JCPenney in various Finance and Accounting roles.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas and resides in Far North Dallas with his wife, Ashley, and their two sons. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending free time with his family outside.
David Clark is a Texas Licensed Professional Real Estate Inspector and Asset Manager overseeing the construction and draw process for Longhorn III Investments. Previously David was the Director of Construction on a joint venture and managed the rehab of over 1000 single family houses throughout Texas, Tennessee, and Indiana. Prior to joining Longhorn III Investments, David was the President of Inspectek Services, a real estate inspection firm performing inspections for home buyers for over 7 years
David lives in Plano with his wife Cathy and is an avid golfer.
